TANU Smart Auto-Lid Pet Bowl

I bought this hoping the fresher food would make my picky cat eat more. She does seem to like that her wet food doesn’t crust over as fast, but she still has her picky days. The product itself works as described though.

Functionally it does what it says—keeps food covered, tilts nicely, easy to clean. I just wish the price were a little lower or that there was a bundle option for multi-pet households. I’d still recommend it if freshness is a big concern for you.

The first couple of days, my cat was unsure about the lid moving and would sit and stare at it. After some coaxing and staying nearby while she ate, she got used to it and now uses it normally. Just be prepared for an adjustment period if you have a cautious cat.

This is fantastic for my cat but a bit small for my 18 lb corgi mix. He can eat from it, but his snout pretty much fills the whole opening. I’d love to see a larger-capacity version for small dogs who eat bigger portions.

Overall I really like this bowl. Just note that the IR sensor works best when the cat approaches from the front. If mine sneaks in from the side, it sometimes takes an extra second to open. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of.
